South Carolina Advance America Walks for a Cause at March for Babies 5K
On March 29, 2025, Advance America team members participated in the March for Babies 5K event in Spartanburg, South Carolina. Team members from nine nearby branches came together to support this important cause.
Stepping up to make a local impact
The March for Babies 5K event brought together 15 Advance America team members representing branches from across South Carolina:
- Easley
- Simpsonville
- Anderson
- Greenville
- Boiling Springs
- Clover
- Gaffney
- Spartanburg
"Our team enjoyed this event, [and] it was a great way to get everyone engaged. We kept cheering each other on to the finish line," said Pamela Taylor, Area Regional Manager for Advance America. “The camaraderie was evident as the group supported each other throughout the walk.”
Engaging with the South Carolina community
The Advance America team created a welcoming space at their event booth, offering refreshments, coloring pages, rally towels, pens, cups, frisbees, and other branded merchandise.
What’s more, the Advance America booth drew significant attention from event participants by holding two raffles for candy-filled Easter baskets. Team members were able to connect with the community and tell them about Advance America services.

Supporting families in need
The March for Babies 5K walk is an annual event that raises funds and awareness for the March of Dimes organization, which provides crucial support to families experiencing premature births. This support includes financial assistance, educational resources, family counseling, and ongoing check-ins — all vital services during challenging times.
The event exemplified Advance America’s "Care Always" value, with team members unanimously agreeing it was a positive and collaborative experience.
