My Soul Mate

I hold a special place in my heart for my sister and friend Val. She is amazing in everything she does from retiring from the Air Force a few years ago to being a mother of 6 children, and grandmother to 4 grandchildren. She walked right into another career as soon as she retired. She has suffered many illnesses, from lumps to cancer but you won’t hear her ever complain of the pains she suffers from. She works long hours and still has to come home to children crying, cleaning up, washing laundry, helping children with homework, running errands, and making meals. Not to mention, being a wife, a mother, and grandmother she is always there for me no matter what. If I need her shoulder to cry on she will lend it, when I just need to talk, laugh, or just hang out she is always there for me. Her head is always held high and she can always make me laugh. Now, you might ask why is she so special because she has always treated me like family but we aren’t related by blood, but we are connected by our souls.
