Life after Loss

My name is Lenora and my husband and I moved to California in April of 2006. My husband was ill when we moved to this small town, but were happy to have purchased our new dream home. The first neighbors we met were Dave and Amanda and they were great to be neighbors with. My husband and Dave always sharing tools, and helping each other with home improvement projects. They developed a close freindship and my husband confided in Dave about his failing health. Sadly on April 11, 2007, my husband passed away. For me and the four children left behind this was a huge loss, emotionally and financially. I struggled to make the bills and to sustain our mortgage on the home, but time showed depletion of the funds. We lost our home to forclosure, our car to repossesion, and that is when Dave stepped in to help. I feel that in Daves heart he wanted to make sure we would be o.k, in honor of my husband. Dave openheartedly takes me to and from work free of charge each day, and it happens we work close to each other. I have tried to offer Dave money for gas, but he declines, and says it is "no problem". To my family Dave has shown a great expample of "Who is there for you" and my family and I are blessed and grateful to know him and his family. If we are selected winners of this conest, I can buy a new vehicle for my family. Dave is truly a deserving canidate for this contest. THANK YOU DAVE!!! Respectfully, Lenora
