Thanks for always listening

I met my friend Brenda in 2005 when I was asked to return to work at a job I had left a few years earlier. She was soon asked to be the school administrator and I immediately saw that she cared as deeply about kids as I did and so the bond between us grew. She is older than I am, but that never kept the friendship from deepening. She listented and still listens to me talk about anything and everything and is rational when I am not. I would like to think I have been even half the friend she has been to me. She is a good example of a person that perserveres in the face of adversity. She knows the outcome will be bright and hopeful. She is a role model for me and I wanted to tell her that she is important and that who she is matters. She has experiences that she has lived and they have helped me get through some of mine....what more can a friend be? I always stop to ask myself, what would Brenda think? I hope to continue our friendship for many years to come.
