My First Call

I can't count the number of times my friend Scott has come to my rescue on more than one occasion. His caring and generous nature know no bounds. One example of this came in the summer of 2006. During that summer I found myself traveling across country to two different conventions. During the last leg of my trip, I lost my wallet leaving me nearly 800 miles from home with no money, low on gas and no place to stay for the night. I was a couple of hours from Scott's home in Iowa when I realized this. I called hoping I could maybe get enough cash to get me gas to get me part of the way home until I could reach Kansas City where I have family. Scott without question or hesitation gave me directions to his home, welcomed me in, fed me, and being as it was late, gave me lodging for the night as well. The next morning he gave me more than enough money to get home and took the time to make certain I knew the best way home and called to check on me along the way. His help came with no strings attached and was given without hesitation. I could not ask for a kinder , more true blue friend. This is but one example of how he has helped me and many others. If I ever was in trouble or need I know Scott would be first on my list.
