Not who I expected.

You never know why people are in your life or why you see people passing by on a regular basis. You never know what those people are sent to do in your life. Just recently I had surgery and I wasn't be able to work or drive for a couple of weeks. A couple of days before my surgery, my mother came to stay with me to help me around the house. The day before my surgery I asked my mother if she had a ride set up for us to get to the hospital since she doesn't drive. She hadn't called anyone to take us, and neither of us had money for a cab. As I began to get upset and the tears started to roll down my face, my phone rang. It was Anika, a young lady I knew from church and that I sing in the choir with. A week earlier, I put in a prayer request for my surgery. Anika is someone I knew in passing, every time I saw her I would say hi. But that night she called and said "I was just calling to see how you're doing and if you need anything for you big day." I told that I was fine although I wasn't. She asked "How are you getting to the hospital?" I then told her that we didn't have a ride to or from the hospital. She offered to give us a ride in the morning. She also let me know that if I needed anything like a ride, groceries, or just needed to talk that she was there. That just showed how much God loves us. He can send someone that you least expected to be a blessing in your life. I am completely thankful to God for Anika and only pray that I could be a blessing to someone like she was to me.
