A Divine Creation - My Inspiration

When my company closed the Houston Office and my unemployment ran out I was fortunate enough to have a daughter who loved me. She is a Divine Creation and my Inspiration. I raised her to have values, morals and respect but she has taught me many lessons along the way. The things we do and the examples we set touch many lifes and she constantly reminds me that I have touched her life in such a positive way that she wants to help me when I can't help myself. Her words of encouragement and

Support

During the early part of 2008, I lost my job due to a massive layoff of 90 percent of the company and then the company was sold.

I have been off work for over seven months, and my unemployment funds were low and now has exhausted.

My mother was there for me all summer providing me with money for gas for my car. Because with gas prices being so high and the cost of food, the trade off was buy gas or food with the income I had. My mother gave generously over eight weeks and I sincerely appreciate

My mom, my help

My mother has been there for me no matter what the mile distance was. My son Cameron was diagnosed with autism. My brother Shane was also diagnosed with autism. With the daily living with my 10 year old autisic son, it has its struggles. With the same problems with my 22 year old autistic brother, my mom has been there so she can relate to the problems that I go through. Every day I talk with my mom and she has been there for me for support and finances, which sometimes can be an issue raising

The Love of My Life

I am a single parent with a daughter in college. My daughter, Savannah, is my greatest joy and the love of my life! She is 19 years old and a senior in college on a full 4 year scholarship. She has been an exceptional child, very bright and very talented. Savannah skipped 2 grades and graduated from high school at the age of 16, then moved 5 hours away to go to college. Not only is she gifted intellectually, but she has always been wise beyond her years. I used to wonder why I was

My Grandmother, My Rock

My grandmother has had a very hard life but still continues to give selflessly to others. She has a third grade education and her father was robbed and killed when she was a child, and she grew up in poverty raised by her mother and grandparents. She is very loving, kind, creative, and giving - she still lives in poverty, but continues to help others in whatever way she feels led to. She has always been there for me to talk to - when I was a rebellious teenager I went to live with her, when

My sister is giving me children

At the young age of 17 I was told that I cannot get pregnant on my own. When I met my husband and we got married we knew we wanted to have children. We went to a fertility doctor who told us the only way we would become parents would be either egg donation or adoption. We chose egg donation so that I could at least experience pregnancy. Without thinking twice we chose my sister as a donor. She happily agreed and here we are almost 2 years later, 2 days away from our IVF procedure to becoming

A good friend

Someone in my life who seems to always be there for me, making each day a little easier in any situation would be my co-worker and recent supervisor Michelle Williamson. I have been working directly with Michelle for about three years now; we both belong to a medical flight with the reserves and both work second jobs running the flight during the month while no one is here. I am not sure where to start when it comes to the various things that she has done for me and my family and I probably

A Mother's love

My mom has been there for me through it all. From birth to present, she has wiped my nose, boo-boos, tears, admonished me whether I felt I deserved it or not, and helped me in every endevour I even thought I wanted to try. As a teacher she came with me to school every year to put together my classroom and grade papers. As a mom, she gave me advice, stayed up with my new baby, and cleaned and cooked for my husband and me. As a friend, she has stayed up at night talking about life, religion,

My Love, My Hero!

If there is anyone who deserves recognition for being a hero in my life it would be my husband Sean. After marrying in 1999, I became pregnant with our first two children, twin girls, and gave birth to them in 2001. During my pregnancy, my husband was there for me every step of the way, from making me special cheeseburgers at 2am, cleaning house while holding down 2 jobs, leaving me special notes of encouragement during the day and never, NEVER complaining. I love Sean so much! He is a great
