My Soul Mate
I hold a special place in my heart for my sister and friend Val. She is amazing in everything she does from retiring from the Air Force a few years ago to being a mother of 6 children, and grandmother to 4 grandchildren. She walked right into another career as soon as she retired. She has suffered many illnesses, from lumps to cancer but you won’t hear her ever complain of the pains she suffers from. She works long hours and still has to come home to children crying, cleaning up, washing

Moving away
When we moved from California to New Mexico, it was the hardest thing I ever had to do. I left behind my family and friends. But William made it so much easier for me. He was there through my ups and downs and the struggles of a new environment. He was there every time I cried because I was home sick. So for all of that, I say Thank You! From the bottom of my heart. I may not have made it here without him.

Circles Never End
I would like to thank my sister for always being there for me. I dont think Katie really knows just how much she means to me. As children she and I fought, bit, yelled, screamed, and annoyed each other to no end. We would call each other every name under the sun, bicker and antagonize each other. I can remember sneaking into her room and using her chapstick that she refused to share with me or attempting to use her spiral art kit without her knowing. We went through phases of hating each other

An Angel Walks Among Us
How typical is it to say that your mother is the one person who has been there for you, but for me, my mom has exceeded in kindness, love and compassion more than any other person I have encountered. Not only towards me but towards all those that she loves.
This exceptional human being worked several jobs to ensure that we had the basic necessities of life. During Christmas, she took on other odd jobs to ensure that Christmas was a magical event. Somehow she still managed to make every assembly,

Life after Loss
My name is Lenora and my husband and I moved to California in April of 2006. My husband was ill when we moved to this small town, but were happy to have purchased our new dream home. The first neighbors we met were Dave and Amanda and they were great to be neighbors with. My husband and Dave always sharing tools, and helping each other with home improvement projects. They developed a close freindship and my husband confided in Dave about his failing health. Sadly on April 11, 2007, my husband

Gotta love that attitude!!!
When I think of someone who is “there for me” I think of my sister, Linda. She is “one of a kind”. She has worked hard against great odds to be successful in life and helped many along the way. Linda is 6 years older than me and since the death of our mother 19 years ago has taken on the roll of encourager, confidant, as well as best friend to me. Let me tell you a little about Linda.
Linda married her childhood sweetheart and had 2 sons. Things were good for about 10 years and

Diamond in the Rough
I can truly say that my mom is a diamond in the rough. She has been through so much adversity while raising my brother, sisters and myself but she always manages to keep a smile on her face and make things work out for us.Sometimes we had no food in the house except for jiffy and the beef in a can and a can of peaches. She would find a way to make a meal out of that for us.When she went thru abuse from her ex husband she escaped and moved us out to safety. My mom is my rock her strength is

My Sister Has Always Been There For Me
I have an amazing sister! She has been my best friend, my other mother, my confidant, my sounding board, my therapist, and my ally from the day I was born. She has been battling Breast Cancer for nearly 10 years and has been so brave and unselfish - she is an inspiration to everyone who knows her. Her faith and her loving family have been there for her, but more often she has been there for everyone of us. This past weekend she flew in from out of state to attend my wedding even though her

A True Blessing
The person I would like to nominate for the "Who Is There For You" contest is Kristi.
September 9, 2007 was the worst day of my life and I have had many bad days since. I was at a theme park in Ohio for a company picnic with my mother, niece and nephew. As we were leaving the park my mom called home to let her husband know we were on our way back when he told her my sister Heather was in the hospital. We made several calls to the hospital to check on Heather and make sure she was ok with
