An Angel In Disguise
Two years ago my husband and I moved into a new neighborhood. Along with us were our five girls. Three of them reside with us permanently and the other two are with us during the summer. We moved from an area where we were both close to our parents, and our jobs; so babysitting wasn’t an issue. However, we wanted our girls (yes, five girls) in a better school system. The girls’ first summer in a new city was boring, according to them, except for a place we found near our home where they could

Broken Hearts Healed
In December 2005, Melinda and I were complete strangers. I had given birth to my son six days earlier, when she entered the hospital to deliver her second son. Unbeknownst to either of us, that would be the beginning of a very unique and powerful friendship.
When I gave birth to my son, Will, my husband and I were so happy. Within 18 hours, that happiness was challenged. Will had been diagnosed with a heart defect. He spent the next six days in the NICU before he was cleared to come

Always there
I have the most wonderful husband in the world.
This is a second marriage and my great husband is always there for me and my family.
My son is getting a divorce and is trying to sell his house. He was going to rent an apartment until his money came through for the house sale, but my wonderful husband said, "No Way, he will stay with us until he sells his house."
I have a 91 year old mother and this great husband of mine is always thinking of ways to help her and taking her places.

Always Take More Than You Give
My son Shawn is always there to listen and give advice. He has compassion for others and is very unselfish. I know I can count on him in good times and bad. His smile and laugh is contagious to all who know him. He has many friends and is well liked by his co-workers. He deserves the best life has to offer and I can only hope his dreams come true..

My friend Bobbi
My friend, Bobbi, is like another mother to me. I call her my other Jewish mother. She is an inspiration to me and many others. She has overcome many obstacles in her life including the loss of her teenage son, Barry. She never gives up. She always seeks out the good in every situation. But no matter what happens to her, she always has a smile on her face. She loves to be silly and always projects a positive atttitude. You can't help but, to love her. You can't help but, to smile and laugh around

My Angel!!
Yvonne is a single parent of a 12 year old boy named Kolby. She works two job and has rarely time for herself. She is always giving to others and never takes back. I met Yvonne about 10 years ago in business. We worked with a mutual client. It was during this time that our friendship started. She supported my decision in relation to this particular client and went out on a limb putting her job at risk in support. Our friendship has grown since that time. She is a wonderful friend; she accepts

A test of love
When asked "who is there for me" one person comes to mind without even thinking. That person is my husband, Edward. I was a single mother of a very special child when I met Ed. Sydni was born with Congenital Nephrotic Syndrome and had both kidneys removed before her first birthday. She had a kidney transplant at 1 1/2 years old and although she is doing fabulous health wise, she still has some special needs. Because I was a single mom and didn't work the whole time she was in and out of

My Best Friend
The person that is always there for me is my very best friend in the world, my sister, Holly. I am a single mother of two beautiful girls, but it's hard to juggle work and motherhood sometimes. I can always depend on Holly to help me out in ANY situation. If I'm short on money, she helps me out until payday. If I'm not going to get off work in time to pick the girls up, Holly is always there for me and will pick them up for me...even at the last minute. She always has time and if she doesn't,

A daughters mistakes
Ten years ago at 18 years old I had a son. A single mother I continued to live with my parents. About 2 years later still single living at home I had another baby. And a year after that another baby. So now a single mother with 3 kids I needed to find a place to live because I felt I was taking advantage of my parents. I love my parents and I knew they loved me but I felt I was asking too much of them. My father went out and found a really old really cheap house and took out a loan so that I

Always there for me
My mother is always there for me. Although she is not my biological mother she has always treated me just like she had given birth to me. When I found myself suddenly a single mother she did all she could to help me through that trying time both emotionally and financially. Even though she is a widow herself and struggles financially at times she still will purchase groceries or mail in money for my utilities. I have been fortunate enough to locate my birth mother and my adoptive mother
